About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Database Administrator who will contribute to the design, deployment, optimisation, and full lifecycle management of enterprise-level cloud database platforms. You will implement multi-cloud architectures for Alibaba Cloud and AWS databases, ensuring high availability, high performance, and cost optimization.

What You'll Be Doing

Execute end-to-end database operations, including backup and recovery, monitoring and alerting, health checks, capacity planning, release support, lifecycle management, and operational documentation, ensuring database platforms meet business requirements for stability, performance, and availability.

Drive database reliability and performance optimization, including SQL tuning, index optimization, schema review, workload analysis, slow-query analysis, and root-cause investigation for production incidents.

Implement database security and governance controls, including access management, privilege review, audit logging, encryption, data masking, vulnerability remediation, and security baseline enforcement.

Maintain, and regularly validate database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions, including RPO/RTO planning, restore testing, cross-region/cross-zone replication, failover drills, and emergency recovery procedures.
